Salary Hiring Range: $60,000-72,000 annually (paid bi-weekly)

Union: 1.44% is deducted from pay for Union dues.

Career Summary:

The Membership Support Program Specialist reports to the Director of Constituent Relations and Membership Support and assists with the development, implementation and execution of membership activities in support of ANA's 51 state affiliates called C/SNAs (Constituent and State Nurses Associations). The primary focus is to maximize membership growth and dues revenue opportunities. This position works collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to seek out and explore new ways to enhance C/SNA membership marketing activities. The Program Specialist works independently with limited supervision and requires experience in coordinating a wide range of departmental project work and partners, specifically with Membership and Constituent Relations team to facilitate support as needed.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Or, four years' experience in project management in a fast-paced environment

Related Work Experience:

Minimum four (4) years project administration experience.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of marketing materials production and promotion
  • Exceptional project management skills and organization
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of the MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Communications software (i.e. exposure to online community management software and, Real Magnet email software and web/teleconferencing systems) and, accounting software.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills with attention to details.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • The ability to create, implement and modify processes.


Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings.
  • The ability to proofread and multitask in a face pace environment with changing priorities.
  • The ability to recognized culture differences and political sensitivities while interacting with internal and external consultants, vendors and association members.


Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a Membership or Constituent Relations (component relations) team and programs.
  • Experience in developing and executing Membership, Marketing or Constituent Relations (component relations) programs
  • 5 to 7 years of program administration and experience with HTML coding.


Work Schedule:

Hybrid: Employees are considered Hybrid if they are regularly scheduled to work in at least 20% of their work week or work month in an ANA Enterprise Office.

Hybrid employees are expected to travel to the office when requested and/or when necessary to achieve results or meet business needs.

  • The ANA Enterprise will hire primarily from the District of Columbia (DC), Maryland (MD), and Virginia (VA).
