WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Friends For All Development Manager will serve as the agency’s point of contact to engage in activities necessary to fundraise for the agency’s diverse programs. Duties will include all facets of development, including donor recognition, outreach and engagement, and campaign creation and management. An emphasis will be placed on donation solicitation and follow-up, donor database management, campaign management (including the design and execution of specialty donor campaigns across the region), select elements of event planning/production, and community engagement efforts that drive branding and public relations outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop and execute creative and broad-ranging fundraising plans, including monthly activity reports and tactical action plans for all development activities, including special events and targeted fundraising campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors.
  • Logistically manage all fundraising efforts, while broadening and diversifying the donor base, with a focus on increasing monthly recurring donor base.
  • Assist in the creation of effective and evolving campaigns, with emphasis on project management and reporting.
  • Develop and track sponsorship proposals for annual events and programs
  • Implement, maintain, and grow a Planned Giving Campaign.
  • Lead staff member over support to help make APATT (A Place At The Table hosted by individuals) and 3rd party events (hosted by businesses) fun, profitable, and self-reliant.
  • Ensure fundraising events are produced within budget, meet financial objectives, and appropriately represent the agency to the donor community.
  • Work effectively with event planners to assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events.
  • Work non-traditional schedules and transport event materials/equipment as necessary.
  • Create methods for data tracking and reporting for fundraising events.
  • Maintain primary control over the donor database and provide timely updates, including all data inputs and the creation and distribution of acknowledgments and thank you letters.
  • Develop and implement a robust donor recognition and appreciation plan.
  • Manage inbound funds and coordinate tracking and reporting with the Finance team.
  • Creates board and committee reports as required, including monthly summaries of progress against development goals, and develops materials to support the Fundraising Committee as directed by the Board or Directors.

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Good strategic/critical thinker, self-starter, goal-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment -- with particular attention to detail and organization
  • Strong relationship-builder both with team and clients(internal and external)
  • Competence in Excel and other Microsoft applications as well as Adobe
  • Competence in Sharepoint and other applications
  • Regular and predictable attendance is necessary.
  • Maintain confidential information and adhere to all Friends For All policies and procedures regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily.

OSHA CATEGORY:

This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Training will be provided per Standard Operating Procedure for your area of operation. All FFL employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
