Shoemaker Financial is seeking a talented and motivated Investment Portfolio Analyst to join our team. The Investment Portfolio Analyst will play a key role in supporting the management and optimization of investment portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for financial markets.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction and maintenance of investment portfolios, including asset allocation, security selection, and portfolio optimization.
- Monitor portfolio performance and conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment with investment objectives and guidelines.
- Generate investment ideas and recommendations based on fundamental and quantitative analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models and valuation analyses to support investment decision-making.
- Prepare investment proposals, presentations, and reports for clients, advisors, and management.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment professionals to implement investment strategies and tactical asset allocation decisions.
- Assist with portfolio rebalancing, trade execution, and other portfolio management activities.
- Stay abreast of market developments, economic trends, and regulatory changes affecting portfolios. Train and educate financial professionals on these topics and the investment porfolios.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of investment processes, tools, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and actively holds SIE and Series 7 license.
- 5+ years of experience in investment management, asset management, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of investment principles, financial markets, and portfolio management techniques.
- Familiarity with investment research tools and databases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
