Primary Responsibilities:
As part of our Quality Systems team, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our commitment to excellence in the Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Here's what you'll be doing:
1)Quality Systems:
- Lead the charge in developing and implementing quality systems that drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards for internally manufactured products.
- Support the validation of new manufacturing equipment to ensure seamless integration.
- Tackle challenges head-on using quality improvement tools and root cause analysis.
- Establish and implement policies, procedures, and work instructions to uphold our quality standards.
- Conduct measurements and studies to ensure product consistency.
- Supervise a team of fabrication quality technicians, providing guidance and support.
2)Quality Planning:
- Define quality system requirements for new or revised products and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct pre-production design reviews and identify key control characteristics.
- Establish in-process measurement systems to monitor product quality.
- Assist in setting annual quality goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or better in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality processes and procedures, with expertise in lean Six Sigma principles.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab, and other quality software databases.
- Advanced knowledge of root cause analysis and quality improvement tools.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Experience in manufacturing fabricated sheet metal and thermoformed plastic parts.
- Ability to provide clear leadership and complete projects in a timely manner.
Preferred:
- Experience in the manufacturing of consumer appliance products.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Certification from the American Society for Quality (CQE, CQA, etc.).
