Commercial Kitchen Cleaner

Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and reliable individual to join our team as a Commercial Kitchen Cleaner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our commercial kitchen environment, including cleaning stoves, grills, flat tops, floors, walls, and other surfaces. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to upholding food safety regulations. This is a graveyard shift.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean and sanitize stoves, grills, flat tops, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment according to established procedures.
2. Scrub, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and spills.
3. Wash and sanitize kitchen walls, countertops, shelves, and other surfaces.
4. Empty and clean garbage and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
5. Clean and sanitize sinks, drains, and other plumbing fixtures.
6. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
7. Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals.
8. Assist with periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as hood vent cleaning and equipment maintenance.
9. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
10. Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations set by local health authorities.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in commercial kitchen cleaning or similar janitorial roles preferred.
2. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment used in commercial kitchen cleaning.
3. Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
5. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
8. Understanding of food safety regulations and willingness to comply with health and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification in food handling and safety 
3. Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
