Job Summary:

American Insulated Glass is a leading glass fabricator and wholesale distributor, specializing in providing high-quality insulated, laminated, tempered, fire-rated, and beveled glass products to glazing contractors and window manufacturers. Dedicated to serving both commercial and residential end markets, AIG also distributes a full line of float glass, mirror, and decoration glass solutions.

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable, and punctual day shift fabrication supervisor for our Dallas NC, location. We prize speed and accuracy above all else, so we require a warehouse supervisor who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check their work and the work of others before completing a task.

Key responsibilities & duties:

• Maintain a safety-first work environment, utilizing proactive safety and ensuring all associates adhere to personal protective gear requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Will oversee and inspire a team of 8 to 10 employees to continuously raise the bar, while taking responsibility for all day to day operational responsibilities.
• Ensure production goals are met
• Help coach, train, and develop employees in a manner that is consistent with company policies.
• Ensure damaged product is placed in its proper area and reported to management
• Verifying that employees are attaching the right tags to product or marking them with correct identifying information.
• Ensuring that protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported are being placed onto glass correctly
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Require Skills/ Abilities:

• Must have knowledge of and ability to follow all health, and safety, quality, and labor standards applying to his /her area of responsibility.
• Must have the ability to show up to work every day and on time
• Must be driven and able to meet goals and deadlines
• Must have the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment

Education & Experience:

• Must have at least 2 years Supervisor or Manager experience in a Warehouse (Required)
• Must have glass fabrication experience (required)
• Must have CNC experience (required)
• Must have glass polishing experience (required)
• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 100 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures.
• Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, sit, lift, push, and pull repetitively and/or throughout the duration of the shift.
• Steel toe boots required (not company provided).
