Staff Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant
Location:  US (Remote)
Reports to: Controller
Department: Finance (Shared Services)
Expected Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week, M-F
Estimated Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility

Who We Need
We are seeking a highly-skilled, ethical, and detail-focused Staff Accountant to support the accounting function for multiple affiliated entities and divisions across several countries. 

Essential Job Duties

• Preparation of month-end closing journal entries and analysis, including but not limited to:
  • Banking transactions
  • Prepaid expenses
  • Month-end accruals
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to:
  • Cash
  • Receivables
  • Prepaid expenses
  • Accrued expenses

• Act as backup to Accounts Receivable/Payable Analyst.
• Assist the Accounting Manager in preparation of month-end reports
• Respond to and coordinate with other departments regarding any inquiries or requests
• Assist the Accounting Manager as needed
• Any other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required
• 4 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including MS Excel
• Experience with accounting ERP systems
• QuickBooks experience is a bonus
• Experience working in multi-currency environment preferred
• Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment and discretion
