The Junior Business Analyst is primarily responsible for assessing, troubleshooting, and testing custom software applications to identify bugs and errors. The Junior Business Analyst should simulate real-life business scenarios to proactively seek out and identify any issues or problems that an end user may encounter. All issues should be accurately logged, prioritized, and tracked. With guidance from a senior team member, the Junior Business Analyst will also perform requirements analysis, process documentation, and user acceptance testing.

Roles and responsibilities: 

  • Create and maintain quality assurance documentation that includes test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Perform manual testing to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Identify and track issues according to project processes and tools.
  • Share findings and collaborate with the product and development teams to resolve issues.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure software stability across releases.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during software deployments.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
  • Create and maintain business analysis documentation that includes business requirements, user stories, process flows, and wireframes.


Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong GSuite experience (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge.
  • Good organizational & time management skills.
  • Deadline driven with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong and lasting professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly solve problems.

  • Physical demands:  While performing the duties of job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; type/use computer and phone.  Prolonged sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Non-Physical demands: Frequently requires performing multiple tasks simultaneously, working closely with others as part of a team, and tedious or exacting work. Occasionally requires time pressures, emergency situations, and frequent change of tasks. Rarely requires irregular schedule/overtime and noisy/distracting environment. 
  • Work environment:  Generally, an office-type position. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
