JOB POSITION: Full Time, in office but work remotely on Fridays only
JOB LOCATION: Jacksonville, FL
SHIFT: Flexible hours
PAY RATE: $25 an hour
MUST HAVES: Experience with QuickBooks Online as well as Non-Profit organization bookkeeping.
Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper, working directly with the CEO and/or CPA of their non-profit organization in Jacksonville, this person will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. The Bookkeeper will play a critical support role in our client’s mission by providing timely and accurate financial information. This position requires non-profit bookkeeping experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Accurately record all financial transactions, including donations, grants, expenses, and income in the organization’s accounting software
· Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and track payments received
· Regularly reconcile bank statements with financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
· Assist in preparing regular financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management and board review
· Categorize and allocate expenses to appropriate budget categories
· Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to maintain accurate financial records and streamline financial processes
· Highly motivated, passionate, team player

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner

Required Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant, preferably in a non-profit environment a plus.
· Experience in QuickBooks Online
· Experience in coding financial transactions a plus
· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and tax laws for non-profits.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Commitment to the organization's mission and values.

· Direct knowledge of military culture, traditions, values, and structure preferred
Other Qualifications
· Must be willing to work occasional evenings and/or weekends if needed to complete reporting if necessary
