K-5 Music Teacher - Part Time

As a new Part-Time K-5 Music Teacher at Colorado Springs Christian Schools, you can expect a fulfilling and dynamic role where you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging music lessons to elementary students. Your schedule will typically be Monday through Friday during the school year, allowing you to have weekends and holidays off to recharge and explore your creative side. You will collaborate with other educators to integrate music into the overall curriculum and participate in school events, such as concerts and performances, to showcase your students' talents. To excel as a Part-Time K-5 Music Teacher at Colorado Springs Christian Schools, candidates should possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from an accredited college or university. An Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teaching certificate is required, or the candidate should be willing to obtain one within the first year of teaching. Additionally, CPR and First Aid training are necessary or should be obtainable to ensure the safety and well-being of students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively engage with young learners and collaborate with colleagues.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Bachelor of Arts (Music preferred) degree from an accredited college or university
• Has or able to obtain an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teacher certificate by the end of the first year of teaching
• Has or able to obtain CPR & First Aid training
