Remote Bilingual Field Interviewer (English/Spanish)

Vital Research is seeking Remote Field Interviewers to serve as independent contractors to conduct in-person interviews with older adults in our PACE survey projects that aim to improve participant satisfaction. This project will start with mandatory virtual training in late May where Field Interviewers receive instructions on how to call potential participants to request their participation in the project, schedulephone interviews, and conduct those interviews.If you are seeking a great opportunity in a results-driven environment, this may be a PRIME opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

• Using your personal computer (or other devices), conduct5-minute phone interviews in an atmosphere of privacy.
• Organize and schedule interviews Monday-Saturday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time.

• Be punctual, work independently, and remain unbiased when conducting interviews.
• Keep organized records of calls/interviews and update respondent status daily (e.g., completed interviews, scheduled interviews, refusals, etc.).
• Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend customer feedback.
• Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security requirements.
• Utilize personal cell phone and email address to regularly be in touch with Vital Research.

Requirements

• Must be bilingual in Spanish/English. Do not apply if you are not bilingual in the language listed.
• Comfort interacting with older adults and demonstrate concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.
• Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully and in a timely manner via email and phone.
• Proficient with email, uploading/downloading files, Internet use, and troubleshooting possible technical glitches.

• Personal computers (or other selected devices) must have access to view and modify MS Excel and access the internet.
• Reliable wireless Internet.
• Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately on a computer or laptop.
• Ability to follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations.
• Must have 20+ hours of availability per week.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers preferred.
• Interviewing experience preferred.

Compensation:

• $25/hr. for training
• $15/hr when completing 0 to 2 interview
• $6.00 per completed interview when completing more than 2 interviews per hour
