Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Evaluation to Hire Quality Technician for a manufacturing company located in San Clemente, in the medical device industry.
Pay: $18 - $23/Hr.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional overtime when busy
OVERVIEW SUMMARY: Test and inspect products at various stages of production process to maintain quality and reliability of products.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Responsible for activities that affect the quality of Medical products.
- Performs QC receiving, in-process and final product inspection: Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and inspects/tests products for dimensions, performance, mechanical, electrical, or other specified characteristics, applying statistical quality control standards and procedures.
- Records inspection/test data.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Utilizes equipment such as calipers, microscopes, pin gages, vision system and other measuring equipment to perform inspections.
- Creates nonconformance reports for nonconforming components, in-process or finished products, and dispositions product in accordance with MRB authorization.
- Maintains NCR system, including tracking and trending corrective actions associated with nonconformance reports.
- Authorizes release (final approval) to inventory.
- Assists with calibration system.
- Submits samples of product to laboratory for testing as indicated by departmental procedures.
- May perform other tasks, as required.
- Complies with quality system procedures and with Quality System Regulation, MDD and ISO 13485 requirements.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 years related experience and/or training. (ISO/CE/MDD/MDR experience desirable).
- Must be able to operate precision measuring equipment and interpret drawings/prints.
