Entry Level Aerospace Manufacturing Worker

RATE: $16.28 - $20.00/hour

JOB SUMMARY
The General Manufacturing Worker performs wide-ranging manual labor tasks and assist in a variety of functions as needed. They possess a moderate understanding of general aspects associated with aerospace manufacturing.
REPORTS TO
The General Manufacturing Worker directly reports to the Senior Production Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Education, Training, and/or Experience
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Composite Manufacturing preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Constantly sit or stand for extended periods of time without support
- Frequently required to use eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and manual dexterity
- Constantly use hands to hold steady, handle, grasp, or feel
- Frequently walk, squat, kneel, use foot controls, or perform vibratory tasks
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Specific vision abilities include close, color, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing level within normal/average range
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Ability to use basic hand and pneumatic tools
- Ability to work with/around fiberglass, resins, etc.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and safety
- Ability to work independently and in a team with no/minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Basic math skills required
- Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner
- Follow work order procedures and customer specifications
- Maintain general safety, MSDS and Hazardous Materials awareness
- Tool Identification
- Perform core trimming, shaping, sanding using hand tools, blades and shims
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Move heavy items and use equipment as necessary
- Complete necessary training assigned by supervisor in order to improve knowledge and experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
