ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK
Location: Chatsworth, CA 91311
Our client seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk responsible for the tasks related to invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining accurate records. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure the timely and accurate collection of outstanding balances.
Responsibilities:
Invoicing:
Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients based on provided documentation.
Verify invoice details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Payment Processing:
Record and post payments received from clients using accounting software.
Reconcile payments with outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Collections Support:
Assist in monitoring and following up on overdue accounts.
Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment inquiries.
Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions.
File and archive financial documents in accordance with company policies.
Data Entry:
Enter financial transactions into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy.
Update and maintain customer information in the database.
Reporting:
Assist in preparing regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging.
Provide relevant information to support decision-making processes.
Customer Service:
Respond to client inquiries and concerns related to billing and receivables.
Collaborate with the customer service team to address and resolve client issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working with numerical data.
