Description

Job Title: Front Desk Administrative Support

Reports To: Clinic Manager

Hiring for multiple locations


Summary: Responsible for assisting the front desk team in coordination of patient care and clinic operations. Provides expertise, knowledge and leadership to their team. Serves as mentor by modeling professional practices consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness and the standards of care.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contact insurance companies to obtain information including eligibility, claim numbers, etc.*
  • Prepare M164 Forms with accurate information prior to appointment date.*
  • Work with Work Comp Clinical Care Coordinator and other patient care techs to assist them in providing highest quality of care and service.*
  • Assists with front desk duties as required (i.e. Check-in, answering phones, appointment scheduling and/or patient reminder calls).*
  • Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.*
  • Collect Copays and balances, assist patients with billing to the best of your ability by understanding statements and EOB's.
  • Fax, copy, and scan documents as needed.*
  • Responds to all correspondences and tasks (via letter, email, faxes) in a timely manner.*
  • Speaks with patients and resolves minor issues.*
  • Adheres to policy and compliance initiatives.*
  • Assists in ensuring that the medical office (front desk and waiting area) is kept clean and tidy at all times.*
  • Attends meetings as scheduled.*
  • Assist in office flow and help out with additional administrative and office duties as required.*

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher and AthenaNet.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
