About this role:

 

As a Leader within the company, the Senior Manager, Field Teams oversees all Field Team members, administration, project management, materials management, and safety compliance, including facilitating communication, recruiting and coaching Field Team leaders, ensuring adherence to protocols, conducting regular feedback and performance reviews, implementing quality control standards, managing materials, and enforcing safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. 

 

This is a Sr. Leadership position within the company where this individual is managing other managers.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: 


Team Management:

  • Primary duty is to lead the entire Field Team of the company, beginning with managing Supervisors and holding them accountable for managing their Teams.
  • Provide Guidance and Mentorship to other Leaders in the Field Team starting with Supervisors.
  • Establishes the standard for what the Culture within the Field Team will look like across all Job Sites and within the Office.
  • Facilitates open communication between Office, Operations, and Field Team.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coach Field Team leaders as needed.
  • Ensure that field staff understand their roles and follow all WORKS by JD protocols and procedures.
  • Visit 1-2 job sites daily.
  • Provide regular feedback to improve performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews for Supervisors and ensure they are conducting performance reviews for their direct reports.
  • Empower teams for effective problem resolution.
  • Take initiative and provide leadership to site Leaders.
  • Conduct regular Employee Development Meetings.
  • Conduct new employee orientation.
  • Contribute to Business Vision and advise Field Team leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

Administration:

  • Maintain thorough communication and documentation.
  • Oversee completion, compliance, and submission of documentation.

Project Management:

  • Develop strategies for enhancing remodeling services.
  • Assist in implementing procedures and systems.
  • Review job scope and work process with Field Team leaders, coach as needed.
  • Implement quality control standards, monitor project budget.
  • Oversee job site cleanliness, organization, and efficiency for safety and productivity.

Materials Management:

  • Establish and enforce standards, collect inventory lists quarterly.
  • Address tools/equipment deficiencies in the field.
  • Replace tools and equipment as needed.
  • Select quality materials, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain dust control.

Safety and Standards Compliance:

  • Act as company safety officer. Ensures Field Team has appropriate safety equipment and regular training.
  • Ensure proper safety procedures in the field.
  • Report and address safety issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all OSHA & EPA regulations for RRP [Renovate Repair, and Painting Program] for anything built prior to 1978.

 

Qualifications: 


The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications.  

  

 A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction project management

  • Previous experience as an estimator, architect, engineer, designer, construction manager, project manager or similar
  • The talent to continuously maintain a high level of customer service and a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Previous experience using Buildertrend or similar construction management software as well as solid technical skills including database management, Excel, and Word.  Applicants may be tested on their abilities.
  • A thorough understanding of building/remodeling, project estimating, construction terminology, and processes.
  • Exceptional organization and tracking abilities.
  • The ability to work both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
  • An exceptional level of professionalism at all times.
  • The ability to travel 45 minutes to 1 hour outside of Beverly to various job sites. 
  • The willingness to work inside or outside in New England weather throughout the year.
  • This position is an office and field hybrid and will require the physical agility to maneuver in both environments. Managing jobs from the planning stages through the build requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, crouch, and drive throughout the day or for extended periods of time.

  • Be willing to submit to a background check to include a current review of the applicant’s driving record.
  • Be able to provide two documents, upon hire, showing proof of eligibility to be hired in the United States.
