CNC Machine Operator-Eurotech

E.J. Basler Co is looking for a night shift Eurotech CNC Machine Operator for our Schiller Park, IL location. The position involves setting and operating CNC single or multi-spindle lathes to perform various drilling operations to specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Work from work orders, samples, and instructions.
• Load bar feeder or hand load bar stock and castings. Load, line up and unload parts in fixtures.
• Operate CNC or multi-spindle lathes to drill, bore, ream, mill and tap parts to specified dimensions and close tolerances.
• Monitor machine operations and readouts to assure proper equipment operation.
• Adjust tooling required to maintain tolerances. Assist lower graded operators on adjustments to machine.
• Blow, wipe, stack, and package completed parts.
• Check work for proper finish and dimensions using electronic and manual precision measuring instruments.
• Submit specified parts for inspection.
• Completed required paperwork on inspections, tool changes, and operations.
• Check and refill coolants and fluids on machine as necessary.
• Replace, reset, and sharpen tools when necessary.
• Use electronic and manual micrometers, Vernier calipers, and various hand tools.
• Move product to designated area by end of shift.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Maintains cleanliness of work area utilizing 5S techniques and methods.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of manufacturing experience

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
• Must be able to frequently: work with hands, use depth perception, focus eyes, maintain body equilibrium, have clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Must be able to occasionally: kneel, hear, crouch, work primarily with fingers, feel primarily with fingertips, identify and distinguish colors, stoop and walk

Work Environment:

• Will be exposed to loud noise from manufacturing.
• Will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, noxious odors, mists, gases, and poor ventilation that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin.
