Automotive Dealership Payroll Clerk

Downtown Nashville Nissan is seeking an experienced payroll clerk. Automotive dealership experience is a plus. $17 - $25/hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include

• Collect and summarize timekeeping information.
• Obtain supervisory approval of time card discrepancies.
• Obtain overtime approvals.
• Calculate commissions.
• Process garnishment requests.
• Process and close periodic payrolls.
• Print and issue paychecks.
• Process direct deposit payments.
• Calculate and deposit payroll taxes.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Previous payroll/human resources experience a must.
• Motivation and ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate in a confidential, professional, positive team atmosphere.
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities, delays, or unexpected events in the workplace and/or in job responsibilities and expectations.
• Unquestionable ethical standards.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds preferred.
