Fleet Mechanic

FLEET MECHANIC    Voorhees, NJ

Shearon Environmental Design Company, one of the leading landscape firms, is searching for an experienced and self-motivated mechanic.  This position serves our regional office in Voorhees, NJ.

The mechanic, under the supervision of executive leadership, performs maintenance and repairs, affects purchasing, as well as conducts routine inventory and facility management tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS. These include, but are not limited to:

• 5 years or more of related experience
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Ability to adhere to Shearon’s safety program, including drug testing

LICENSING+ CERTIFICATION.  A commercial driver's license (CDL)

·        Overseeing mechanical operations for all equipment (gas and diesel), trucks, trailers, parts, shop and tools, etc.

• Overseeing of mechanics and fleet management systems

RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Upkeep of all equipment (gas and diesel, small and large), trucks, trailers, skid loaders, salt spreaders and plows, trenchers, trailers, mowers
• Orders necessary routine preventative maintenance parts for the shop inventory, tools, etc.
• Actively participates in training all team members safety and proper equipment usage
• Participates in snow removal
• Overseeing systems to collect and manage data relevant to the fleet management

COMPENSATION.  Compensation will be competitive and is based upon each candidate's experience.
