Field Service Technician

Since 1960 Cougar Chemical has supplied our customers with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies. We sell, service, and rent pressure washers, floor scrubbers and all other types of cleaning equipment. We offer a full line of industrial, commercial and janitorial products along with a full range of new and used equipment. From pressure washer to parts washers, steam cleaners, floor scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, carpet extractors, and wash water reclaim technology. Cougar Chemical can meet any cleaning need.

We work with our customers to deliver solutions that create a cleaner, safer environment. Working at our customers' facilities, we will repair commercial cleaning equipment, and provide quality customer service and communication to minimize costs and ensure satisfaction with all services. Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and service on commercial cleaning machines, primarily floor scrubbers and pressure washers.
• Accurately record time and parts used on every repair order.
• Perform pre-delivery assembly, inspection, and test new equipment.
• Responsible for scheduling work and repairing products at customer locations.
• Satisfy in a timely and complete fashion, all business reporting documentation including but not limited to: timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, and repair order logs.
• Perform new equipment deliveries and installations.
• Consistently present a professional image in personal appearance, condition of company equipment and service area.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical and electrical systems. Many of our technicians have backgrounds in automotive mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, forklift technician, or as a field service technician working on mobile and electrical equipment.
• Ability to safely use hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics and properly use an OHM/Volt/Amp meter.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational school in automotive/diesel/electrical preferred.
• A valid driver's license and good record is required.
• Must display a positive attitude and desire to satisfy customer requirements.
• Must be professional and non-confrontational at all times.
• Must be able to supply own tools.
• we use flat rate labor billing practice and monitor labor efficiency.
