Full Time Bartender

Defiant Brewing Company is looking for a GREAT, full-time bartender to provide an EXCELLENT guest experience. GOOD bartenders have general knowledge about beer, create classic drinks, and meet customer needs. GREAT bartenders create innovative drinks, offer recommendations to customers, engage in conversation, and exceed customer expectations. If you are a GREAT bartender, keep reading.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and smokehouse patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks/drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Keep brewery, bar, and beerhall clean

Requirements and skills

• Must be available to work nights and weekends
• Knowledge of craft beer with the ability to make recommendations to guests is nice to have, but not a deal breaker
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate
• Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for long periods of time

Compensation includes pay and customer tips.
