What we're looking for are experienced restaurant managers, ideally with General Manager experience who are willing to RELOCATE. While our franchise only has one Killer Burger restaurant as of now (Salem), we will add a total of 11 more Killer Burger restaurants over the next 4 years. Our agreed upon trade areas include Pierce County/Tacoma (WA), Bend & Redmond (OR), and Boise (ID). You would be interviewing for & hired on as an hourly (hourly pay rate) crew leader, working at our Salem location, with the opportunity to earn a GM position as we open more locations. If you have previous GM experience, are interested in being a Killer Burger GM and are willing to relocate, I hope to hear from.

Starting pay will be $21 to $23 per hour (including tips), based off previous experience. GM pay rates will be discussed during interview process.

Killer Burger was founded by TJ Southard in 2010, when he opened the first location in Portlands Hollywood District. As of February 2023, there are 20 locations, with 3 more set to open within the next 6 months.

We use only the best ingredients to make our award-winning burgers. Each of the past 4-years, Portland & Vancouver consumers have voted us as the Best Burger in Town. Each burger features 100% beef 1/3-pound smash burgers topped with freshly cooked, crispy bacon. Our menu also features our signature Peanut Butter, Pickle, Bacon Burger. To top things off, add crispy made-to order fries and a cold beverage and youre in Burger heaven.

Job Philosophy
You are an ambassador and a protector of the Killer Burger brand. For your store, you are the primary resourcer, making sure everybody has what they need to do their job successfully; staff, food, liquor, beer, equipment, training & information. The tools you will use are varied; information, equipment, schedules, manuals and training procedures. You will be expected to effectively use both praise and discipline. Addi tionally you will provide company with the information, feedback & commitment required for your stores to be successful & the company to thrive. With all the staff you manage and train you are responsible to help them see when something is not up to standard, to help them identify the root cause and to employ Killer Burger solutions. Your direct supervisor(s) are the District Manager and the Director of Operations.

Supervision & Administration
  • Directly supervise Crew Members (CM) & Crew Leaders (CL) in your store.
  • Ensure your lead CL is fulfilling the Training Program in your store.
  • Coach, train & enforce production targets & performance expectations.
  • Perform regular performance reviews of Leaders & Crew in conjunction with the DM.
  • Interview, hire, & terminate Crew for your store.
  • Oversee staffing & training programs for your store.
  • Monitor & enforce HR systems so they arefollowed promptly & correctly
  • Maintain the supply chains for your store: vendors, inventory, ordering & storage.
  • Maintain the cash handling & financial reporting in the stores
  • Maintain all company policies, ensuring management quality & operational efficiency.
  • Maintain all regulatory requirements, which apply to your stores.
  • Ensure your store's & staffs' Liquor & Food service certifications are up to date.
  • Know & enforce all applicable Liquor & Food service regulations.
Store Performance
  • Responsible for Killer Burger quality control compliance.
  • Responsible for controlling waste.
  • Responsible for cash, labor, food, beverage & dry good cost targets.
Customer Experience
  • At Killer Burger we throw The Party every day. We are happy, efficient & focused on our customers. We greet them when they come through the door, we check to make sure they are happy with their experience & we thank them when they leave. You must:
  • See your store from the perspective of the most demanding guest & communicate to your leaders any changes needed to ensure the satisfaction of those guests.
  • Model & demonstrate friendliness, respect & clarity in communications with guests & staff.
  • Be able to communicate information about all the products we offer, how they are sourced, prepared, stored, ordered & priced.
Quality Control
  • This is a group effort. Quality comes from good systems, well-informed staff & consistent enforcement of standards. We want to do things better all the time at Killer Burger, so quality also means communicating well & often, leaving the door open to change & considering every suggestion. You will:
  • Learn, train & enforce Killer Burger systems of operations: cash handling, bookkeeping, health & safety, cleanliness standards, recipes, cooking procedures.
  • Oversee & support the crew to ensure they effectively implement our standards of quality.
  • Be expected to work any position or station in the restaurant in order to predict, assess & improve the quality of performance throughout the store.
Maintenance & Cleanliness
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in your store.
  • Maintain the Maintenance Schedule for your store.
  • Promptly facilitate any repairs needed for equipment or the store.
  • Perform or delegate minor repairs.
Ordering/Inventory Management
  • Maintain all inventory, ordering & stocking procedures.
  • Maintain up to date vendors list for each store.
  • Perform or delegate any as needed trips to stock the store.
  • Ensure the menus in each of your stores are presentable, up to date & distributed.
  • Ensure Killer Burger merchandise is available in the stores.
  • Oversee & ensure each item we stock has a labeled storage space.
Schedules, Payroll & HR
  • Develop & maintain an effective staff.
  • Ensure that all HR documents get from the stores to the HR department.
  • Use labor and sales data for your store to schedule staff accordingly.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions, terminations & subsequent paperwork for the employees of your store.
  • Monitor & maintain the company payroll procedures; including time clock equipment & data.
The Money
  • Oversee & enforce the Cash Handling System for your store.
  • Follow all company financial reporting procedures & account for store funds.
  • You will ensure all documents are collected, stored safely & delivered to Accounting
Communications
  • Facilitate communications between the admin staff & staff in your store.
  • Distribute all necessary written & electronic resources to your store.
  • Company email to be used solely for Cascade KB, LLC communications; you are required to check it every day you are scheduled to work.
  • Not use any personal email address for Killer Burger business.
  • Submit or distribute all company communications in a timely fashion & in a professional manner.
  • Maintain an Open Door policy & treat staff with respect & courtesy.
  • Abide by a Killer Burger Non-Disclosure Agreement
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted at the Killer Burger stores, offsite meetings & includes travel between stores and other sites.
  • Environment has moderate to high noise level.
  • Position requires regular sitting, walking, computer work, cooking, cleaning, lifting & phone calls.
  • You will be required to lift up to 45pounds frequently.
Your Schedule
  • Maintain open availability.
  • Be required to attend regular meetings with the Leadership Group.
