Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Record and classify financial transactions in a timely and organized manner.
Bank Reconciliations:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and balances.
Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure timely distribution of paychecks and address employee payroll inquiries.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Monitor and collect outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Reconcile AR records and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and timely payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide insights into financial trends and variances.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and collaborate with auditors as needed.
Financial Analysis:
- Support financial analysis efforts to aid decision-making processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data for various projects.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
