Responsibilities

Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies

Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance. Comfortable discussing inspection results with the Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Production teams

Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
Prepare and submit reports to the QA Lab Manager and the QA Manager

Requirements and skills

Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
Responsible and trustworthy
Thorough knowledge of quality control / quality assurance standards and testing methodologies

Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices, especially in an ISO environment

Analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manuals
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations
Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
Good written and verbal communication skills
Dexterity, physical strength and physical stamina
Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers
