Opportunity 

Muncie Power Products, an industry leader in Power Take-Offs and mobile power components to the truck equipment industry, has an immediate opening within the Innovation Team in our Engineering Department for a Financial & Market Analyst to facilitate both organic and inorganic company growth. Reporting to the Business Development Leader, this hire will collect and analyze data, then create financial and business models and structures, evaluating new potential products and services that leverage Muncie Brand equity

Location:  This position will sit at our flagship manufacturing facility in Tulsa, OK. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering, analyzing, and modeling market data, identifying potential opportunities, adjacencies, alliances, and barriers to entry. then presenting those findings to key internal management and potential partners. The candidate must have strong analytical, team working, business/market research skills, data visualization, financial modeling, presentation and decision-making skill sets. 

In this role, the candidate will conduct market research, analyze data, identify trends, gaps, perform financial analysis, and prepare reports/recommendations. and other functions. Travel less than 20%, or as business needs require. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Using internal product roadmaps, industry publications, and publicly available investment activity information, examine potential new growth areas for Muncie Power Products.   Research and identify product and service gaps, adjacencies, opportunities, dynamics, market timelines and innovative managed services.

Develop deep industry knowledge to understand current industry trends, M&A activity, Sea Change Events and Technology Driven Market Changes.  Become subject matter expert in government funded research and environmental subsidies including tax credits.

Create complex, comprehensive, and interactive Excel financial models including scenario and variable analysis tools.  Also, author relative trial income statements, balance sheets, projective cash flow rates, and capital requirements.  Utilize models to determine Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) performance.

Develop outline and collaborate on go-to-market strategy. Assess business model risk and probable mitigation strategies.  Propose methods and strategies to accelerate time to market road blocks.  Consider and quantify market barriers to entry balanced by revenue & profitability projections.

Help to identify, develop and manage key alliance relationships in technology, finance (including PE & IB), marketing, IP, manufacturing, and components.    

Participate in deal teams, assisting in acquisitions, investments and commercial financing, including strategy, due diligence, deal structuring, and execution.

Create various innovative and bank quality financial and market presentations for internal stakeholders, senior management, committees, and alliance partners.

Management, Vision and Strategy

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:  5+ years’ relevant experience 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics finance, or related field.

Language:  English

Experience and Skills

• 4+ years’ experience in data mining, and analytics.
• Experience with Google analytics, and other data acquisition systems, software, and methods 
• Proficiency in researching, gathering data, analyzing, identifying trends, and making recommendations Performing financial analysis 
• Strong oral and written communication skills
   

 Considered a plus: 

• Experience in Industrial product manufacturing
• MBA
• Mechanical or electrical engineering background)
