Role Summary 

We are seeking a IT Governance Lead to transform an existing project governance structure at an enterprise federal PMO. Our team supports the USAID IT Service Delivery Project Management Branch to promote and support the timely, effective, multi-disciplinary review of IT projects according to the agency’s System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).   

In support of this project, MPC is looking for a IT Governance Lead with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience to assess the current governance framework, identify gaps, and implement an enhanced governance model. Candidates must be sharp, creative, well written, and articulate when speaking with senior IT leadership; and work effectively in teams to shape and deliver an optimized governance model.   

What You Will Be Doing 

• Design an enhanced governance structure based on proven implementation solutions 
• Address project governance gaps and lead organizational change efforts    
• Establish and foster positive and collaborative relationships to ensure governance adherence across portfolio 
• Analyze new and complex project related problems and present options with immediate and long-term impact 
• Create performance metrics frameworks to assess project governance discipline     
• Drive cultural change to ensure governance solutions are implemented with consistency  

What We Need From You (Required)  

• A minimum of 10 years or more years of experience serving in a governance capacity for an enterprise PMO 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) 
• Experience in the Federal Government supporting IT projects 
• PMP or Agile certification in Project Management  
• Cleared or ability to obtain interim Secret; U.S. Citizen

• Secret clearance

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (Masters Preferred)
