School Social Worker for the 2023-2024 school year
Caseload Details:
- Students are between the ages of 15-26 years old
- You will be full-time in ONE building
- This is a center-based program
In this collaborative environment, you'll:
- Provide assessment and consultation with Special Education Teachers to assist with social/emotional goal development and implementation, including creation of materials for classroom use and assist with transition plan and paperwork.
- Provide daily assessment and consultation with staff regarding students' social skill expression and development, functional and adaptive behavior, in the school environment.
- Collaborate and consult with professional staff to develop visual systems and in-home supports based on family's identified needs (sensory needs, visual schedules, communication opportunities, behavioral techniques).
- Write goals and objectives of each IEP for students as needed.
- Empower students through individual counseling, group sessions, and social-emotional learning initiatives.
- Become an integral part of the school community, building positive relationships and fostering a supportive environment.

Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Must possess S310 form- Approval to work in MI schools
- Previous school social work experience
- Previous experience supporting students with ASD
