Position Summary
The School Social Worker provides comprehensive social work services that support students'
academic achievement, social-emotional development, mental health, attendance, behavior, and
overall well-being. The School Social Worker serves as a liaison among school, family, and
community agencies to remove barriers to learning and promote equitable educational opportunities
for all students.
The School Social Worker collaborates with administrators, teachers, counselors, psychologists,
families, and community partners to improve student outcomes while ensuring compliance with
federal, state, and local regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution.
• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) School Social Worker
Certificate.
• Knowledge of federal and Georgia education laws.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
