Architectural Project Manager

Turner Fleischer is one of Canada’s most progressive design studios with 250+ committed, creative and driven professionals. We excel at developing client-centric concepts that are based on their needs but grounded in over 49 years of experience getting projects built. Our in-house design departments include Residential + Mixed-Use, Commercial + Industrial, Interior Design and Experiential Graphic Design. In addition, we have a Digital Practice Department, who commits to the implementation of BIM, research + develop, and the infusion of cutting-edge technology into our projects and practice.

Who are we looking for:

As a Project Manager, you will strategically manage and lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution, adherence to design intent, and successful delivery within established scope, schedule, and budget. This role demands a blend of design and construction knowledge, along with project and financial management skills, and leadership abilities to navigate complex project dynamics. You will lead projects to successful execution while meeting client expectations, leveraging your expertise to maintain a collaborative project environment and guide the team through challenges to achieve project objectives with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

What you will do:

• Prepare fee proposals and all related contracts to ensure the fee structure, project schedule, staff allocation and client expectations are clear.
• Manage all project financial objectives, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget parameters.
• Lead the design process and create solutions that align and exceed client expectations, ensuring the project intent is captured from the feasibility phase through construction.
• Ensure the project team has an ongoing and consistent understanding of project schedules and deliverables.
• Lead project team meetings internally and externally with clients and consultants in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
• Attend site visits and meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Manage projects with an awareness of potential areas of risk and liability.

What you will bring:

• Diploma/Bachelor's/Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture.
• 8+ years of direct experience managing Architectural projects.
  

• Technical experience in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of municipal bylaws, OBC and other provincial and national building codes and their application to the built form.
  
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a hybrid role, with 3 days in the studio.
