Armed Security Guard (FAA-MATHER CA) PART TIME

Responsibilities:
Provide a highly visible, professional presence while performing the following:
Perform armed security patrols of designated areas on foot (or by vehicle, if applicable)
Staff static or roving security post
Determine threat situations against persons and property
Identification control as required by post orders
Operation and monitoring of CCTV equipment as required by post orders
Maintain constant surveillance of assigned post for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Follow Emergency Operation Plans and/or Post Orders and sound alarms or notify police and/or fire departments as appropriate in response to security concerns or safety hazards
Validate and permit authorized personnel to enter property and monitor entrances and exits for persons attempting to gain unauthorized access
Prepare written or electronic reports of security activity, accidents, incidents and suspicious activities; maintain written or electronic logs of activity as required by post orders
Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a professional an courteous manner

Qualifications:

Certification Requirements (All)
Baton/OC/Handcuff certificates
Weapons permit
High School Diploma/ GED
CPR/First Aid/AED certificates
Valid Driver's License
Must be 21 years old
Must be able to work flexible schedules and overtime if required

Experience:

Meet one or more of the following requirements:
Three years of security experience within the past five years
Associates Degree in a related field plus 1 year of experience
Three years of military experience (active duty, reserve or National Guard)
Successful completion of a State certified Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) certification course
Possess a reasonable combination of the first three Education.

Other Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the United States
A minimum of three (3) non-family personal references
Must have access to reliable transportation
Computer skills to receive and transmit email and complete and submit reports
Prior to offer of employment must successfully complete

-Physical Exam
-Extensive background check to include criminal record

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions (moderate to extreme heat or cold)
