Job Description

Weld and fabricate various types of metal and other materials, using jigs, holding fixtures, measuring instruments and hand tools

Process, verify, and manage material for the duration of projects

Perform quality inspections for completed welds and fabrications

Create lay-outs using appropriate tools and templates; work from blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals in completing work

Maintain daily production schedule, assist in ensuring on-time completion

Keep up with a variety of projects

Oversee less-experienced welders to help ensure work is timely and meets quality expectations

Work with management in planning and problem-solving

Maintain shop equipment, including through regular preventative maintenance

Upkeep orderly shop spaces

Follow safety regulations

Perform other duties as necessary or as directed by management

Requirements:

Well-rounded metalworker, with experience in steel, stainless steel, aluminum

5+ years fabricating experience

3+ years field experience

Experience with rigging and material management

Experience with layout, fitting, reading blueprints

Experience with stair and rail layout

Knowledge of welding tools, techniques, AC and DC processes

Proficient in MIG, TIG, Flux core, Arc welding

Comfortable with heavy equipment, including forklift and cranes

Able to lift 50 lbs; comfortable at heights

Open to learning new skills and always willing to improve

Problem solver

Timely, honest, drug free

Available for occasional overtime

Valid US Driver’s License required
