Funeral Director Embalmer

Independent, full-service funeral home, crematory and cemetery combination is seeking an Oregon licensed Funeral Director—Embalmer. This person will be based primarily out of our Eugene, Oregon location. We are looking for a person with strong communication skills, motivated self-starter disposition and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment. It is essential that applicant be passionate about serving our families in a caring and professional manner. We are a dynamic organization that strives to create work/life balance for our employees, while giving the best care to everyone who interacts with us. Expect to be available to work one weekend or less per month - based on staffing levels. Currently, in a two-week period, you expect to be on call three nights, on average. However, we are developing a first call team to assist with night calls.

Qualifications: Applicant must possess an Oregon combination FSP/ Embalmer license or have the ability to reciprocate a license from another state. Consideration will also be given to individuals that have graduated an accredited mortuary school but need to complete their apprenticeship (compensation to be adjusted based on level of experience). Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record · Ability to lift 85+ pounds · Interest and proficiency in computer skills (MS-Office) is required · Posses some cemetery and crematory skills or be willing to learn.

Competitive compensation package that also includes: Base Wage, plus additional compensation for nights on-call / first-calls in addition to base wage, health insurance, paid time off (vacation), bonus program, and matching-retirement plan.

Relocation to the Eugene-Springfield-Cottage Grove area is necessary.
