About the role:

Inventory Management (IM) is tasked with maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our units and reporting systems all around the warehouse. When items move, IM is responsible for knowing where and why. IM works alongside, oversees, and audits warehouse processes, and provides an outsiders view on improvements that the warehouse can implement. To a lesser extent, IM also works with marketing and customer service to improve the processes of retrieving or monitoring our inventory around the globe.


We are searching for a skilled Inventory Analyst to improve the workflow and efficiency of our inventory department. In this role, you will be expected to oversee inventory audits, collect the data, and analyze the results. You will also work with companies like Amazon to identify and reconcile gaps in our accounting of our inventory. To ensure success as an Inventory Analyst, you should be open to learning new things, comfortable questioning the status quo and suggesting new ideas, detail-oriented and analytically minded. A top-notch inventory analyst will be able to improve on existing procedures and create and deliver meaningful reports on a regular basis.

Individuals may perform other duties assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance workload.


As a Inventory Analyst, your essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Perform a variety of support functions in conjunction with the warehouse, including adjustments, standard troubleshooting, advice on technical problems, scanner training, etc. 
  • Interface with the warehouse to teach and improve processes.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse to produce inventory data in the form of actionable reports.
  • Prepare and maintain information on various aspects of inventory at the warehouse.
  • Develop and present charts, graphs, and reports regarding inventory.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute regular reports on warehouse-related fields for inventory management.
  • Report to the Inventory Team Lead, and support them as necessary.
  • Train and collaborate with warehouse employees to understand and optimize processes.
  • Assist with and oversee various warehouse operations.
  • Serve as a technical resource for employees at the warehouse on various warehouse processes.
  • Conduct research by interfacing with warehouse employees and gathering information as needed.
  • Escalate major issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Have an understanding of warehouse processes and enforce inventory control best practices.
  • Perform routine audits on processes, large shipments,  bins, and organization  based on IMR reports.
  • Complete observation report, as needed.
  • Hold biweekly meetings with observations, suggestions and areas of opportunity with Team Lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an office, and warehouse shipping and receiving environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. May require you to be on your feet full and/or partial shift. Be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Travel between facilities within a 2 ½ mile radius. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.


You will bring:

  • Education & Experience
    • High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent
    • 1 year or more experience in Inventory Management
    • Demonstrable experience with databases and spreadsheets
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Ability to type 40 words per minute
    • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
    • Ability to travel between facilities
    • Ability to coordinate flow of information between departments
    • Ability to interface and expedite communication between departments
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Proficiency (advanced proficiency preferred)  in use of
    • Google Workspace apps such Gmail and Sheets
    • Microsoft Suite apps such as Excel and relevant software
    • CRM and relevant software is a plus!
  • High attention to detail
  • Candidates with a background in mobile devices are strongly encouraged to apply!
  • Self-motivation and strong research skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to build reports on tasks, if requested

Compensation and Schedule

  • This position is hourly, pay is $24 an hour with growth opportunities and pay increase based on performance.
  • This is a full time position on site in our Gaithersburg, Maryland location.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm EST.
