z/OS Programmer

ALTA IT Services is seeking a Sr. Systems Programmer to join our direct client on a long term contract basis. Scripting or automation background is highly desired.
z/OS Programmer
Remote (EST hours)
12+ month contract

Summary:
Candidate will be supporting various project teams and their mainframe related needs on a day-to-day basis.
Candidate will be leveraging their skills to automate configuration processes on the mainframe using above toolset. The position requires advance knowledge of configurating Development and Production environments comprised of the below listed components.

Required skills:
• 8-10 years of Experience of Mainframe Systems Programmer background.
• Building robust Mainframe environments
• Scripting and process Automation experience
• Extensive knowledge of Mainframe Systems methodology and frameworks
• CICS TS for z/OS
• CICS Webservices
• MQ for z/OS
• DB2 for z/OS
• Control-M for z/OS
• IBM System Automation for z/OS
• REXX Programming
• z/OSMF – Knowledge of Workflows
