Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator

Location: Columbia, MD

TS/SCI CI Poly Required

Securicon is seeking a Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator that can work independently as well as cohesively within a team. The Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator duties include:

  • Install, configure, and support an organization's LAN, WAN, and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
  • Monitor network and perform necessary maintenance to ensure network availability to all system users
  • May monitor and test Web site performance
  • May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
  • May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
  • May administer network security measures.
  • Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
  • Provide day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
  • Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
  • Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts
  • Develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessments.
  • Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities and programming techniques and controls.
  • Managing, monitoring, operations, and maintenance of cloud environment and services
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Networking technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts
  • Oversee the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables produced associated with the Systems Networking area of responsibility
  • Communicate with other program personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives
  • Analyze complex information and independently take appropriate actions to resolve problems
  • Provide Networking and Computer Systems guidance to technical staff and establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
  • Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers
  • Work complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Network Administrator
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE)
  • Active TS/SCI + CI Polygraph
Preferred / Desired Skills:
  • Exposure to Cloud/AWS
  • A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use Network and Computer Systems skills to determine a solution.
  • Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
