Systems Adminstrator Linux

My client is seeking a Linux Systems Admin to install and maintain small to medium size HPC cluster environments. Someone who has working knowledge of Linux, EA (enterprise architecture) and cybersecurity, as it relates to cloud computing would be ideal.

This is an on-site position, consisting of a wonderful team of people in a supportive work environment. If you have experience with Linux, cloud computing, and/or high-performance computing systems, this may be the job for you!

General Duties & Software Include

• Operating System (Red Hat, CentOS, SLURM, Message Passing Interface (OpenMPI, MPICH), Batch Scheduler (SLURM)
• Working knowledge of Cloud computing and cybersecurity
• Open Source & Commercial Compilers
• Monitoring Utility and Custom Scripting
• Temperature Monitoring & Auto Shutdown Script
• Across Cluster Node Image Updating & Propagation
• Security Patches & Updates
• Scientific Libraries (C, C++, Fortran, NVIDIA)
• Manage, extend, and develop customized scripts to support the HPC user, monitoring, and system administration environments.

What Would Make You Stand-Out

• 5+ years of overall IT experience to include at least 2 years of experience in Systems Admin or Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Computing with emphasis in cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience with computer hardware maintenance, such as replacing processors.
• Proficiency with documentation, collaboration, and task management tools, such as the Microsoft Suite (Project, Visio, Word, and Excel), Google Docs, MediaWiki, and Trac.
• Ability to work with others and independently

Compensation

• Salary range is 105-120K/year based on experience
