Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems and related software. This individual will also be responsible for troubleshooting system issues and ensuring the security and integrity of the Linux systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure Linux operating systems and software
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure system security and integrity
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the Linux systems
  • Troubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as required
  • Troubleshooting dataflow and escalating as required
  • Troubleshooting network issue and escalating as required
  • Ability to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
  • Strong knowledge of RHEL operating systems and software
  • Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development,
  • Familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
