Assertive Professionals is in search of a Quality Assurance Linux Administratorto support our National Security Customer near Hanover, MD.
This is a Funded and Immediate position!
The salary for this position is $130,000-$140,000 which includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, $2,000 in reimbursable relocation expenses, plus a $1,200 annual compliance bonus!

Position Description:
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages LINUX operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with a Polygraph
  • Level 1: Four (4) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Level 2: Nine (9) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Four (4) additional years of relevant system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Bash programming experience
  • Perl/Python programming and LINUX (Redhat/CentOS 5 or greater) experience.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (html, xml, Java2E, etc...).
  • Experience with virutalization and Puppet 3 or greater.
