ABOUT THE TEAM

The Anduril Frontier Systems team is building the next generation of robotic platforms for defense and industrial applications. We are a small, high-performing team of roboticists, ML engineers, and systems engineers delivering real-world capability to operators in the field. Our systems operate in unstructured, contested environments where robustness and reliability are non-negotiable. We seek to deliver validated, integrated capabilities to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Teleop Operator / AI Data Collector to operate robotic systems via teleoperation equipment and collect high-quality demonstration data for AI training. You will wear motion capture and VR equipment to guide robots through task demonstrations, working closely with our AI engineering team to refine data collection procedures and identify failure modes. This is a hands-on, physical role. You must be comfortable standing for extended periods, wearing teleoperation equipment (VR headset, haptic gloves, motion capture markers), and performing repetitive precision tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Operate robotic systems via teleoperation equipment (VR headset, haptic gloves, body tracking) to collect task demonstration data
  • Execute demonstration protocols for manipulation tasks: grasping, tool use, assembly, equipment setup
  • Upload, label, and organize collected data for AI training pipelines
  • Identify and report issues during data collection: equipment failures, edge cases, task ambiguities
  • Follow equipment maintenance, safety, and shutdown procedures
  • Maintain a safe operating environment for yourself, other team members, and the robotic hardware
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and fine motor control
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Quick learner - can master new physical task sequences rapidly
  • Strong attention to detail and tolerance for repetitive work
  • Comfortable receiving and incorporating daily feedback
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience operating robots, drones, or remote-controlled systems
  • Experience with VR/AR equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Prior military or defense industry experience
