Job description

Summary:
At Imperial, we sell, distribute, and service General Merchandise, Seasonal Products, and Health/Beauty/Wellness Products to our customers. As a Forklift Operator, you will drive a stand up, battery powered, forklift truck, to load or unload pallets into designed areas through the warehouse. You will utilize either a cherry picker, reach truck, or transporter to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products or pallets. After product is received and processed, it either gets put away in the Bulk area, or into the Pick Mod. Our Forklift Operators accurately transfer our product to ensure customer demands are met.
Forklift/cherry picking experience is required*
Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:30PM-9:00PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, transporter
  • Pick refill and put-away receiving
  • Perform detailed checks against documents.
  • Uses RF Scanner and Lydia headset
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction.
  • Pallet configuration.
  • General bulk area maintenance
  • Meets productivity and accuracy standard.
  • Clean work area
  • Follows all module safety trainings/requirements.
  • Possible floater to other Imperial warehouses.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualification: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills - requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions.
  • Previous experience helpful, one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
