Contract Administration Compliance Manager

Flexible Schedule

Hybrid Schedule-Hybrid is defined as a flexible work model that supports a blend of in the physical office (1-2 days per week) and partially remote workplace.

JOB PURPOSE

The Contract Administration Compliance Manager is responsible to ensure all program documents, contracts, grants and agreements throughout the organization are centrally maintained, monitored, and current, contain standard information, and are properly executed to minimize risk and maximize financial and operational performance. Additionally, the Compliance Manager is responsible for helping to keep HCAM's activities within the guidelines, regulations, and ethical expectations of the industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Job Functions:
  • Builds effective relationships with funders, Program Directors and program staff to support company mission and core values to meet and exceed the clients' expectations.
  • Develops and maintains a collaborative and effective business relationship with the Executive Leadership team regarding: contract development procedures, document updates, reports, policies, training and acquiring appropriate agreements and executed copies thereof.
  • Manages program liability and risk management through the lifecycle of the program as it relates to contract compliance.
  • Accountable for tracking and maintaining all HealthCare Access Maryland organizational contract documents to include grant agreements, contract modifications and subcontracts; and monitoring compliance including but not limited to insurance policies, non-disclosure agreements, legal, and risk management in an electronic data repository (SharePoint).
  • Responsible for the development, standardization, and maintenance of policies, processes, and procedures around document compliance.
  • Manages a continuous document management process database, quality improvement systems and training to keep stakeholders up to date concerning contract requirements, document management and procedures.


Additional duties and responsibilities:
  • As a member of the Compliance Committee, maintains the Compliance Calendar, and assists with development of meeting agendas and follow-up.
  • Assists with Program Audits as required.
  • Monitoring business operations of programs and reporting infractions, reviewing company policies for possible risks and liabilities, and researching legal requirements for new initiatives.
  • Develops control systems to address violations of internal business policies or policy breaches.
  • Hosts training to educate team members regarding applicable regulations and requirements.


Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensures:
  • High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, legal studies or project or contract management or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a professional setting, particularly in the realm of compliance and/or contract management.
  • In depth knowledge of healthcare industry contract standards, rules and regulations is greatly preferred.

  • Some travel may be required for this position, including but not limited to off-site locations.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and presentation software
  • Organizational skills with the ability to meet a demanding workload.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with proven ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to uphold and comply with HCAM's code of ethics and core values.
