Job Description

Contract Manufacturing – Electronics Process Engineer

A successful company in Simi Valley offering a full range of services including printed circuit board assembly, testing, materials procurement, inventory management, final system assembly (box build), packaging and distribution is looking for a Process Engineer. They provide services to (OEMs) in the telecommunications, networking, computer, aerospace, consumer electronics, and medical device industries.
In this role, you will make a difference in helping the company to define, create, maintain and improve processes.

Location: Simi Valley
Salary: $80,000-100,000 (DOE)
Schedule: Mon-Fri
This is a Direct Hire position

Responsibilities:

Define, create, maintain and improve processes within the company
Provide technical support via direct communication with sales and program management
Provide all internal and external support for manufacturing
Assist in resolving manufacturing issues as required
Review and approve product documentation
Prepare process documentation such as routers, work/process instructions
Train manufacturing personnel as required for any outlined process
Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of revision-controlled documents
Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control process
Review and approve Engineering Change Orders applicable to product line responsibilities.
Develop new process for high efficiency and cost effectiveness
Prioritize and develop projects based on critical needs
Develop projects within allotted timelines and budget
Assist in internal audit program for AS9100/ISO9001

Qualifications:

Degree in Electronic Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering for electronics company
Experience with Harness/Cable manufacturing and Mechanical Assemblies preferred
Experience with SMT operation
Certifications such as IPC-610/J-STD-001 qualification preferred
Solid understanding of AS/ISO preferred
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within strict deadlines is essential
Preferred Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish)
Ability to travel on a regular basis within and outside of the country.
