Job description

  • Develop, maintain, and improve SMT and PCB assembly processes.
  • Program and set up pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, and AOI systems for new and existing production jobs.
  • Create and maintain machine programs, component libraries, feeder setups, and production recipes.
  • Use BOM, Gerber, ODB++, and pick-and-place data to prepare jobs for production.
  • Develop and optimize reflow profiles and troubleshoot SMT, soldering, placement, and inspection defects.
  • Support NPI, taking new PCB assemblies from customer data through first article and production release.
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Troubleshoot production problems and perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support through-hole, rework, inspection, conformal coating, potting, and final assembly processes.
  • Improve quality, yield, cycle time, equipment utilization, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Train and support production personnel on equipment setup, operation, and manufacturing processes.
