Mechanical Engineer

Successful candidates must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance; therefore, U. S. Citizenship is required. 

We are seeking Senior Mechanical Design Engineerswith expertisein mechanical design of electronics enclosure and packaging. Engineers will develop hardware devices and platforms for embedded RF products as part of a cross-functional multi-disciplinary engineering team. 

This role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with across functionaldesign team. Candidates must possess solid interpersonal as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. 

Ideal Candidates will be proficient with: 

• Design of Electronics Enclosure & Packaging 

• 3D Modeling 
• Thermal Analysis 
• 2D drawings and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) 
• Production support; developing bills of materials & assembly drawings 

Preferred skills will include: 

• SolidWorks Tools including stress and thermal simulation 
• Enclosure design supporting Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) 
• Knowledge of compliance regulations, such as MIL-STD-810G, IP67, UL/IEC 62368-1 
• Knowledge of PCB materials, connectors, electronics components, heat dissipation 
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming, injection molding, welding, machining, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping processes 

• Ability to lead failure analysis of production related issues from a designer perspective 
• Experience with tolerance analysis at system and subsystem level 
• Hands on skills during initial prototype fabrication and assembly 
• A proven track-record of new product development. 

Qualifications 

• 10 years+ experience designing electronics enclosures & packaging 
• BS Mechanical Engineering or similar field
