Journeyman Diesel Technician Position

Responsibilities

Review and diagnose services/repairs needed for each vehicle.
Refer to repair order for instructions on how to proceed per customer’s request.
Repair professionally with speed and efficiency.
Use electrical test equipment and computer testing equipment.
Order parts needed for necessary repairs/services by furnishing the proper paperwork to the Parts Dept.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; 5 years of related experience in diagnosis & trouble shooting, repairing, rebuilding and replacement of diesel engines and components.
Experience with electrical and fuel systems components specific to medium duty commercial trucks.
Valid Driver's License.

Language Skills:Ability to read and write legibly in English. Analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Basic computer skills. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures based on measurements needed for repair or service of vehicles.Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Requires the ability to climb up/down ladders, in/out and under vehicles, twist and stand for long periods of time and be able to use power and hand tools.
