Housekeeper Construction Cleaning

Living Out Palm Springs, a new LGBT 55+ active adult resort community, is seeking housekeepers to complete construction cleaning in vacant apartments.  The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities. Our ideal candidate will welcome the opportunity to interact closely with LGBTQ+ seniors and staff members.

Qualifications:

• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation.
• Hotel or Resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.

Perform all housekeeping duties including:

• Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors; kitchen appliances, cleaning rugs, carpets.
• Dusting furniture and equipment
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
• Keep all work areas in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies in work areas.
• Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean.
• Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
