Surgical Technician Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team in providing excellent patient care. This position will be responsible for preparing operating rooms and instruments, assisting surgeons during operations, and providing post-operative care. Surgical Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up surgical instruments and equipment in the operating room

  • Assist surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and supplies, as well as retracting tissue and counting sponges, needles and instruments
  • Monitor patient’s vital signs during surgery
  • Record patient’s history and physical status
  • Provide post-operative care by changing dressings, monitoring vital signs and administering medications
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room

Surgical Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Surgical Technician (CST) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician preferred
  • Able to remain calm and focused in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently
  • Physically able to lift and move heavy equipment and patients
