Job Summary: As a Sports Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing sports data, statistics, and trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations to enhance team performance, strategy, and decision-making. You will play a crucial role in evaluating player and team performance, forecasting outcomes, and contributing to the overall success of the sports organization.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret sports data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and performance indicators
• Use statistical techniques and predictive modeling to forecast outcomes, assess player performance, and evaluate team strategies
• Evaluate game footage and performance metrics to provide detailed assessments of players, teams, and their strategies
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement for individual players and teams to optimize performance
• Collaborate with coaching and management staff to develop and refine game strategies based on data analysis and insights
• Provide recommendations on lineup selections, player rotations, and tactical adjustments to maximize team efficiency and success
• Prepare comprehensive reports and visual presentations summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for both internal and external stakeholders
• Effectively communicate analysis results to coaching staff, team executives, and other relevant personnel to guide decision-making
• Stay updated on sports trends, industry advancements, and emerging technologies related to sports analytics
• Conduct research and utilize industry best practices to continuously improve analysis methodologies and approaches
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including coaches, scouts, and other analysts, to integrate findings and insights into team strategies and decision-making processes

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Sports Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Proven experience in sports analytics, data analysis, or a related role within the sports industry
• Strong knowledge of sports rules, strategies, and gameplay across various sports
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey analysis results and recommendations clearly and concisely
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while also being capable of independent analysis and decision-making
• Demonstrated passion for sports and a genuine interest in using data to drive strategic decisions and improve team performance
