- Monitor participants’ safety during activities and ensure all safety protocols are being followed
- Ensure all supplies and equipment are in proper working order and stored safely
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to participants
- Encourage active participation, good sportsmanship, and positive interaction among participants
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Communicate with parents/guardians, participants, and supervisors
Recreation Leader Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and/or teens
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines
- Flexibility and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
