Preschool Lead Teacher Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and caring Preschool Lead Teacher to oversee our curriculum program. You will collaborate with our assistant teachers to prepare children for school both academically and socially by using age-appropriate lesson plans, selecting effective developmental materials for the classroom, and utilizing positive behavior reinforcement. We keep our teacher-to-student ratio small to enable you to provide individualized care for every child in our program. You must also provide parents with regular reports on their child's progress.
Preschool Lead Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum
- Support creativity and learning
- Provide supervision during activities
- Select age-appropriate developmental materials for the classroom
- Keep classroom neat and organized
- Provide parents with progress reports
- File incident reports as needed
Preschool Lead Teacher Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood development or education or current enrollment in a similar degree program preferred
- CDA credential a plus
- At least three years of teaching or child care experience
- First aid and CPR certification
